If you are buying a used car, the ministry of transportation requires that the vehicle be certified and emission-tested before it can be licensed. Unfortunately that's where private sellers and most Used Car Dealers stop. All that you really know about this car is that it meets the minimum standard for safety and emission standards... Not really a ringing endorsement is it?
By purchasing your vehicle through the GM Optimum Used Vehicle program, you can be sure that your vehicle not only exceeds a high level of mechanical standards, it will provide you with some stress-free driving with some important protection. When you buy a GM Optimum vehicle, your purchase includes a manufacturer's backed warranty, a 150 point inspection of your vehicle, a 30 day exchange privilege and 24-hour roadside assistance.
150+ Point Inspection
Each Optimum Certified Used Vehicle has been meticulously inspected by licensed mechanics before it reaches the sales floor. During the inspection process, each vehicle must pass a minimum of 150 points, ensuring that the vehicle is in excellent condition inside and out. Plus, regular maintenance is performed and faulty components are repaired or replaced.
24-hour Roadside Assistance
All Optimum Vehicles feature a minimum 3 months or 5,000 kilometres (whichever comes first) of 24-hour roadside assistance. That includes trip interruption coverage and trip routing service to help you quickly find your way.
$500 Student Discount
If you're enrolled in full-time studies with valid student ID from a recognized institution (i.e., high school, college, university) or if you've graduated within the past 6 months, you could receive $500 towards the purchase of eligible GM Optimum Certified Used Vehicles.
Exchange Privilege
Your satisfaction is important to us. If for any reason you're not completely satisfied with your Optimum Certified Used Vehicle, you may exchange it within the first 30 days or 2,500 kilometres, whichever comes first.
Manufacturer's Warranty
When shopping for a used vehicle, it's important to understand who's providing the warranty coverage to the vehicle you're considering. All Optimum vehicles come with warranty coverage backed by the manufacturer. A manufacturer's warranty ensures your vehicle will be serviced by qualified technicians who use factory-approved parts. This isn't always the case with third party aftermarket warranties sometimes offered in the used car industry.
All Optimum Used Vehicles feature a minimum of 3 months or 5,000 kilometres (whichever comes first) Used Vehicle Limited Warranty. And that's standard. If your budget permits, you can extend or upgrade to an even more comprehensive Optimum Used Vehicle Protection Plan. You'll also appreciate the convenience of being able to transfer any existing warranties to a new owner, should you ever decide to sell your Optimum Vehicle.
