Chevrolet Cruze offers luxury amenities with a lower monthly payment
General Motors scored big points with the Buick Verano on recent episode of Donald Trump's Celebrity Apprentice. Buick/GMC dealers which have seen a sharp decline in sales over the last few years (including a 23% Buick drop in January) are hoping that will translate into increased sales. General Motors has not offered a Buick in the compact segment since the Buick Skylark which was discontinued in 1997.
GM is hoping that the Verano which shares the Delta II platform with the Chevrolet Cruze will ride the Cruze wave that swelled in 2011 with an award winning launch in the North American Market.
The 2012 Buick Verano offers all of the luxury and refinement that you would expect from a new-generation Buick but General Motors still expects the vast majority of Delta II vehicles to be built with the Cruze Badge. June 2012 Canadian Sales Results are in and the Cruze outsold the Verano 16,520 to 2576, further proof that Canadians prefer the Cruze!
General Motors Canada is supporting it's volume Delta II vehicle, The Cruze by offering 0% financing over 84 months (not currently available on the Buick Verano). When doing an option for option comparison between the 2 vehicles, you can expect to save about $55/month on an LTZ Cruze with Rally Sport, Navigation, 6speed automatic transmission and Power Sunroof versus a similarly equipped Buick Verano 1SL.
